For more than 100 years, Perryman’s Bakery has proudly called North Adelaide home. Over the past century, we’ve watched the neighbourhood grow and change and welcomed generations of families through our doors — it’s this everyday routine that makes this community so special. Looking back, we know that our story wouldn’t be what it is today without people like you, who have supported us every step of the way.
Being a local bakery has always meant more to us than simply baking fresh bread and classic pies. It’s about creating a place where people feel at home. The sort of home where familiar faces turn into knowing first names and where conversations over coffee start as a catch-up and turn into a tradition.
One of the greatest joys of being part of North Adelaide is seeing the small moments unfold every day. The regular who knows exactly what they’ll order before they walk through the door. Parents stopping by after school pick-up with the kiddies. Old friends catching up over coffee and something sweet. Colleagues grabbing lunch before heading back to work. These everyday moments may seem small, but together they create the community we’re proud to have built and be part of.
We’ve also had the privilege of watching families grow over the years. Customers who first visited when they were children now bring in their own little ones, sharing favourite treats and creating new traditions. Knowing that Perryman’s has been part of so many family stories is of the greatest honours of reaching more than 100 years in business.
North Adelaide in itself has a unique kind of charm — from its beautiful streets and historic buildings to its welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place we’re grateful to be nestled amongst. Every day, we’re reminded how fortunate we are to serve the people who live, work and visit this wonderful part of Adelaide.
