About Us

Baking has been carried out at 54 Tynte Street almost continuously for over 160 years. The bakery was built in the early 1850s and altered to its present appearance in 1868. The Perryman family founded Perryman’s Bakery in 1925 and the business stayed in the family for 3 generations until it was sold to us in 2011.

The Perryman’s based the business on tradition, with many of the items baked using original family German recipes. This tradition continues today, as we bake onsite daily using premium, locally sourced ingredients including free range eggs, flour, vegetables, dairy and meats.


Artisan Breads

We pride ourselves on our artisan sourdough and ciabatta bread range, which included rolls, viennas, baguettes and sandwich loaves. We produce and bake our bread fresh daily, Monday to Sunday.

We can create a variety of cakes for birthday and other special events. Using quality ingredients including free range eggs and fresh cream, a cake by Perryman’s is great for any kind of celebration. Cakes can be personalised with a message written on top and your choice of decoration.
